Northwest Piano Trio Concert

Northwest Piano Trio returns to Cannon Beach at 3pm on Sunday, Oct. 27th to perform The Esther Effect, featuring chamber music selected by violinist Esther Shim. The concert will be at Cannon Beach Community Church, as part of the 7th Annual Cannon Beach Steinway Piano Concert Series. The Northwest Piano Trio includes Esther Shim on violin, Hannah Hillebrand on Cello, and pianist Stephanie Smith performing on the Community Church Steinway seven-foot grand piano. Violinist Esther Shim plays with Portland Festival Symphony, Willamette Master Chorus, and subs with the Oregon Symphony. Cellist Hannah Hillebrand completed her master’s degree in cello performance with Hamilton Cheifetz at Portland State University in 2014. While pursuing her degree, she participated in masterclasses with artists such as the Takacs String Quartet, the Tokyo String Quartet and cellists Johannes Moser and Alban Gerhardt. Pianist Stephanie Smith holds a Bachelor of Music in Piano Performance (1998) from University of Colorado at Boulder and a Master of Music in Chamber Music Performance (2001) from the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. The Northwest Piano Trio, founded in 2014, is based in Portland, Oregon. The concert on Oct. 27th, 3pm is free and open to the public. Donations in support of Northwest Piano Trio may be given at the door.
