Prayer and Deliverance

This week we continue our study in the book of Jonah by reflecting upon Jonah’s prayer of thanksgiving in Jonah 2:1-10. In this passage Jonah describes the depth of his despair as he cried out to the Lord, but the Lord answered him and overtook him with God’s provision. For three days and three nights Jonah remained in the belly of Sheol, but it’s from this place that God raises him to new life and renewed purpose. Join us this week as we reflect upon Jonah’s movement from rebellion to prayer, and celebrate the deliverance that only comes through the Lord.
