Rebellion and Consequence

This week as we celebrate Epiphany Sunday by reflecting upon the coming of God’s word in Jonah Chapter 1. Even in the midst of our rebellion, the Lord is so very faithful to us and will do whatever it takes to draw us back to Himself. Jonah’s story serves as a powerful testimony for all of us to learn from. It’s a story of rebellion and consequence, prayer and deliverance, grace and unmerited salvation. May we reflect upon the truth of God’s word, and like the sailors, find ourselves worshipping the Lord of the wind and the waves.
