Summer Church Bonfires
We are looking forward to our seventh year of holding church bonfires, taking place on July 19 and August 16 at 4:00PM at Les Shirley Park! These bonfires have become such a wonderful tradition, a time for fellowship, sharing a potluck meal, singing worship songs, celebrating baptisms, playing beach games and watching the young ones play in the water. Pastor David taught a 3-week class on how to memorize Scripture on May 20, May 27, and June 3. Pastor David drew upon the Scripture Memory System developed by the Navigators, with an emphasis on memorizing 12 key Bible verses from Romans known as “The Roman Road.” Topics covered included principles and practices for memorizing Scripture, hiding God’s Word in Your heart by meditating on Scripture, and how to memorize a chapter of the Bible (Romans 12).
