Holy Week 2025
Published: 2025-04-07
Join us as Community Church celebrates Holy Week, following in the steps of Jesus. We begin this celebration with Palm Sunday on Sunday, April 13 at both morning worship services, with Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem (Luke 19:28-44) with people crying out, “Hosanna!” (Lord, save us!). On Friday, April 18, we host a Good Friday Worship Service at 6PM, with Pastor Nathan reflecting upon the sufferings of our Lord. On Easter Sunday, April 20, at 6:30AM, we invite you to gather at Ecola State Park Overlook for our annual outdoor Community Easter Sunrise Service. There is no fee for entry into the park. A little later, at 9AM and at 11AM we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ at our two Easter Sunday Services, with our traditional ‘Flowering of the Cross,’ and Pastor Nathan preaching on Jesus’ resurrection. Acts 2:32-34 reminds us of the power of our testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. “All the believers were one in heart and mind. No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything they had. With great power the apostles continued to testify to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And God’s grace was so powerfully at work in them all that there were no needy persons among them.”
