The Mind of Christ

Join us this week as we explore one of Pastor Nathan’s favorite passages in the entire New Testament, Philippians 2:1-11. Let us embrace the mind of Christ and learn from His example as we seek to live in a way that exalts our Lord together. May we set aside selfish ambition and vain conceit as we humble ourselves and look to the interests of others. May we live in a manner worthy of the Gospel and may Christ be glorified in and through His church, now and forevermore.

A Manner Worthy of the Gospel

This week we continue our study in the book of Philippians by considering what it means to conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of the Gospel of Christ. Through the help of the Holy Spirit may we continue to stand firm upon the foundation that Jesus has provided. May we strive side by side for the sake of the Gospel and live in a way that casts out fear as we proclaim Christ’s love. God truly is doing a good work among us.

An Eternal Perspective

Hope is an incredibly powerful thing, especially when it’s rooted deeply in the Lord. In Philippians 1:18-26 Paul teaches us what it means to live with an eternal perspective and cling to hope even when the future remains uncertain. With the help of the Holy Spirit he rejoices in the Lord and speaks with boldness, recognizing the joy of his deliverance and the fruit of Christ’s ministry unfolding.

Confidence, Courage & the Advancement of the Gospel

This week we continue our study in Philippians by looking at the themes of confidence, courage, and the advancement of the Gospel during Paul’s imprisonment. Suffering is something that all believers will face during different seasons of our lives, but even in the midst of our suffering, God can still bring about His good. Paul was anything but your usual kind of prisoner, and the witness of his life had a profound impact upon those who held him captive, and emboldened others to share the Good News of the Gospel courageously within their context.

Thanksgiving, Confidence & Overflowing Love

This week we begin our study in Philippians by exploring Paul’s greeting and prayer in Philippians 1:1-11. We’ll talk about the themes of thanksgiving and remembrance, confidence and partnership, overflowing love and harvest as we consider what it means to live out our faith in a way that brings glory to the Lord.

Change and Challenge

With Nathan Daniels getting sick with pneumonia several days before Sunday morning, Jay Barber (a member of our preaching team) stepped in to deliver a timely sermon entitled ‘Change and Challenge’. Jay challenges the congregation to find renewed vision and commitment during this season of pastoral transition. As Jay stated, “We have lost a long time leader, but not our founder”, who is Jesus Christ. Please find the reflective questions that Jay presents to the church HERE.

Scripture Songs

Pastor David Robinson brings us another message in music, playing the piano and singing ten Scripture Songs he’s composed from God’s Word. Paul tells us in Col. 3:16, to “Let the word of Christ richly dwell within you, with all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with thankfulness in your hearts to God.” Music is one of the sweetest ways for God’s Word to dwell richly within us.

Psalm Songs

On the 2nd Sunday of Advent, in place of a sermon Pastor David sang and played on the piano half an hour of Psalm Songs he’s written from a variety of Psalms, as a way to celebrate Paul’s teaching in Colossians 3:16. We will hear Psalm 8, Psalm 67, Psalm 121, and Psalm 133, along with songs from select verses of other Psalms.
