BLESSING OF THE ANIMALS, Weds., 9am, October 4th, at Sandpiper Square in downtown Cannon Beach. Bring your animal and join us on St. Francis Day for a Blessing of the Animals, led by Lead Pastor David Robinson, sponsored by Dogs Allowed, Puppy Love, and Four Paws.
CANNON BEACH CLASSICAL PIANO CONCERT: Saturday, October 21st, at 6pm, featuring Stephen Beus; $10 at the door. Stephen Beus, a professional concert pianist, will perform a classical piano concert at Cannon Beach Community Church, on the newly acquired Steinway Model B (6’10”) Grand Piano at Community Church. This concert is being co-sponsored by Cannon Beach Community Church and by Escape Lodging in memory of the CEO of Escape Lodging, Tom Drumheller, who died in Cannon Beach on September 17, 2017. Stephen Beus, a Steinway Artist and a long-time friend of Tom Drumheller, currently teaches Piano Performance at Brigham Young University, and is an internationally acclaimed concert pianist, with recitals and performances across the United States as well as in Kazakhstan, Russia, Finland, Denmark, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Germany, Georgia, China, France, Italy, Portugal, the Czech Republic, and Morocco. Fanfare magazine writes: “His playing is strikingly original and . . . he has an interpretive voice all his own. . . Above all, his playing is so natural as to seem effortless and the sound he produces has extraordinary richness and depth, not quite like anyone else’s.”
Oct. 21 (Sat.), 6pm: featuring Stephen Beus an internationally acclaimed Steinway Piano Artist. $10 at the door and open to the public. This concert is sponsored by Escape Lodging, and dedicated to the memory of Tom Drumheller.
Nov. 4 (Sat.), 5pm: “Water~Wind~Fire~Earth”: Piano Meditations and Nature Photoshow,” featuring Jazz Pianist David Robinson and Thomas Robinson’s Nature Photography on the big screen; during the Stormy Weather Arts Festival. $10 donation to Cannon Beach Food Pantry at the door. Open to public.
Nov. 11th (Sat.), 7pm: Vladislav Kosminov, a “Rising Star” sponsored by Portland Piano International, playing an all classical solo piano concert. Free and open to the public.
Dec. 16 (Sat.), 3pm: Christmas Piano Solos and Carol Sing-Along: featuring Astoria Pianist Jennifer Goodenberger on the Steinway. Free and open to the public.
