ASSOCIATE PASTOR SEARCH TIMELINE:
January/February 2018: Our Associate Pastor Search Team was elected by Community Church at our 2018 Annual Congregational Meeting, and began to meet to pray, approve covenant and confidentiality agreement, assign roles and tasks; meet with PNW Assoc. Superintendent Rev. Don Robinson.
March/April: complete Community assessment and Community Church assessment; create Church profile; write Associate Pastor Job Description; post Associate Pastor position opening.
May/June: receive profiles of potential candidates; review, assess, and prayerfully discern candidates.
July/August: interview select candidates; identify/invite one candidate for meeting with Leadership Team and with congregation.
August/September: congregation to extend call to a candidate to come serve as our full-time Associate Pastor.
October: Associate Pastor begins full-time ministry with us.
ASSOCIATE PASTOR SEARCH PRAYER REQUESTS:
Pray weekly for the Associate Pastor Search Team, for a spirit of wisdom, unity and discernment, as they work together during the month of March on our Church Profile, Community Assessment surveys, and as they write the Associate Pastor Job Description.
Pray for the candidate God is calling to begin to be prepared to receive and respond to the call of God later this year when the time comes.
